Saint Teresa of Avila School donation for Housing Works participants…

Los Angeles, CA – On the morning of Tuesday, December 20th Housing Works was proud to pick up a very generous donation of household goods from Saint Teresa of Avila School.

Through the direction of Lower Grade Vice-Principal and 2nd Grade Teacher Mrs. Carmen Ponce, for several weeks, students from Saint Teresa of Avila School have been collecting much needed household items ranging from non-perishable food and hygienic products to toys as well. In addition to these items, a number of gift cards, useable for purchasing groceries and Christmas gifts for needy families was also generously donated.

This gift represents an ongoing and lasting relationship that has been established for several years between the school and Housing Works.

The children’s hard work of collecting these items will allow Housing Works team to redistribute them to numerous households throughout Los Angeles County. This acts to further enhance the enduring and supportive relationships needed to stabilize the lives of formerly homeless participants.
